Set in a time where vampires ruled the night, a human girl struggles with her need to revenge her past love and still try to keep her humanity intact after a stupid mistake. It was years before she met a peculiar dhampir on the anniversary of her love's death, astounded as she watched him kill his own kind. Her morals shaken, Sayurie finds herself longing once again for her lost love, the looks of this one dhampir so close to his that she just might find herself in a world of pain as the locked up memories in the back of her mind begin to slither out and seductively whisper of the euphoria once lost.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of screaming could be heard as Lyle's black shit kicker stepped onto the edge of the roof. He narrowed his ice blue eyes as he looked down into the alley below him. Too late. He shook his head of red spiked hair. The beast of a vampire below already had the girls neck broken and was gorging itself in her blood. Her scream was her last one.
Lyle gritted his teeth as he watched the vampire practically bathe itself in her blood making wet slurping noises as it wiped the blood all over itself, devouring it like it was a drug. Pitiful creature.. He should end it before it hurt someone else. These beast form of vampires didn't know the meaning of quit. The only thing stopping it from forever feasting was the nasty burn as the sun touched their skin. Most had a little brains left to go under cover before they burst into ashes, some didn't.
Lyle raised his biker leather padded gloved hand and wrapped his fingers around the hilt of the broadsword at his back. With a fluid motion he unsheathed the sword making a slicing sound as it welcomed the open air. His Silencer has been itchen to bath itself in some vampires blood.
In a blur he leaped off the roof and raised Silencer in the air. A devilish grin crossed Lyle's face as he slammed down Silencer right though the centre of the beasts head. His feet lightly touched the pavement as his sword's tip hit the ground with a ring. The beast who was still feeding on the girls blood, suddenly split into two. Lyle stepped back as two bullets went whizzing just right in front of his nose. A trap.. 5 vampires lurked out of the shadows, blocking Lyle on all sides, carrying swords, and pistols. Clearly they were working for the higher class. These dogs were here to just kill.
"Well, well," Lyle reached at his belt and removed one of his Automatic Handguns from it's holster. His other hand twirled around his sword like it was a twig,"I know you Dogs aren't smart enough to corner me. Since i doubt you're going to lead me to you maser, I guess I'll have to beat it out of you!" Lyle laughed as he lunged at the closest vampire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sayurie had come running at the bloodcurdling sound of a girl's scream. She arrived quickly, having an in-human speed. She pressed her back to the wall and peaked around the corner to see five vampires surrounding another vampire. Their was a girl on the ground. Dead. Broken neck. Red as satin with her own blood. She growled, stepping from behind the corner and shooting to vampires before they had the time to turn around. She saw the vampire that had been surrounded kill one for his sword and another with his gun. She took out the last vampire and aimed her guns at the remaining one.

She stared at him, hesitating. If he was fighting his own kind.... She might could trust him. For crying out loud, she NEEDED the help to get rid of vampires. But she couldn't deny the fact that he appeared to be one.

She been studying him in a subtle yet thorough examination. He had to be a vampire. He had looks that made you fall instantly in love. The looks that made you want to rip your heart out and give it to them on a golden platter. She knew those looks, knew of the price you had to pay for allowing yourself to be taken into those looks. And she refused to give in to them ever again.

She watched his red, spiked hair, watched as the wind made it slowly sway like a field of red corn. His eyes, icy blue, seeming to pierce to the very soul. His perfect musculature that hid the amazing strength that vampires possessed. She tried measuring his height and weight. She guessed that he would be 6'2" and weigh a good 150 lbs. But that was just an estimate. Her eyes moved back to his lips. A perfect set of lips with a nice curve and leering pink that made them seem to be the lips of a human. But she knew the weapons those lips were hiding.

She moved her eyes back to his, daring him to make the first move. She, herself, wasn't a very strong-looking girl. She wore skirts on most days. Today she was actually wearing a gray school girl skirt that was impossible short for a skirt that wasn't showing anything more than legs, a brown bullet-proof sleeveless shirt under a white long sleeve shirt with a hood and a blue vest over it. Her black hair was down, falling down to the middle of her back. Her dark grey eyes were cold and defiant as she stared at him, fighting against the aura that seemed to emit from him. An aura that would be the death of her if she allowed it to take over her body.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Lyle charged at the vampire he dragged the tip of his sword across the ground, making sparks fly up. The whole alley lit up as he swung his sword through the air and sliced the vampire through the middle. Another, from the scent of blood hurled itself, snarling, at Lyle. He quickly raised his handgun and fed it a face full of led.
Suddenly he heard gun shots all around him and instantly crouched his long legs close to the ground and raised his sword in the direction of the sound. He looked up around his sword when he felt no bullets hit the ground and was surprised to see the remaining vampired dead and bleeding out. The alley was now just a puddle of crimson ink.
Lyle heard the cock of a gun and raised his head. A red eyebrow went up as his ice blue eyes studied the figure before him. He was faced with a dark haired mortal with gunmetal grey eyes to match the pistols in her hands. She had pale creamy skin and a face so soft and innocent. She dressed like the everyday average mortal except when her skirt ruffled a bit in the wind, he could see the arsenal strapped to her thighs. She looked just in her early 20's, about the same he would have been if he were mortal.
Lyla grinning a bit at her and reminded himself that he was still glaring down the business end of her guns with every intent to kill. Plus messing with a female was a bad idea. He then felt that familiar ache in his heart. Really bad idea.. He was or less curious by why she had shot the other vampires and why she hadn't shot him too. She knew full well, what he was. That's why she was still holding him gun hostage. Not that it made a difference. She could have pumped him full of lead and he would have got up and walked away. He was not like his other kind. He didn't kill humans.
Yea he should be getting away from this human girl as soon as possible. That old familiar hurt filled his insides again, telling him he already spent tooo much time just looking at this girl. Enough said. Lyle raised his hands in surrender and sliding his sword behind his back and slipping his gun in the holsters at his chest over his white shirt.
He smiled to her looking in those steel eyes of hers once more,"Thanks for the help. Though you shouldn't be messing with things so dangerous. Be seeing you,' He waved as he turned and began to stroll down the alley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She was quickly in front of him. She shot the wall next to his head. "I don't recall saying you could go. And I definitely don't call you saying that you could leave with that thing that you call life." She recocked her guns, smiling. "Now, tell me. Why are you killing your own kind?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lyle watched as the girl was suddenly in front of him. She stood up to only his shoulders and she had balls shooting just near his head. Juts a warning shot. Lyle couldn't help bu smile to himself at the contradiction of her soft sweet voice and the orders she was barking at him. This was a waste of time.
He run a hand through his red hair as he looked over her head to the horizon. Slowly the stars were going out and he could see it getting brighter. Soon the sun will burn though the earth announcing the time of the humans. No place for him. Even if he didn't burst into flames when the sun hit him, he still didn't like to be around people. Even being with this girl made him feel like he couldn't breath right. He wondered if he could ever be normal again.
Lyle looked back at the girl and her guns. He could easily bypass her but he wasn't a prick. And he knew she would try and follow him. Slowly he leaned in, his face close to hers, the guns pressing against his chest. She smelled good. Like summer flowers. Lyle instantly backed up. Now he was smelling her? He really needed to get out of here.
Lyle placed his hands on her guns and began to lower them," You can't really keep me here and you know it. My life is considered useless but it's not to be taken by a mere mortal like you. It's none of your business why I kill my own kind. You should be more concerned with your own kind, and since I'm not draining your blood right now we'll just leave it at that."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sayurie made a face that could wither flowers. "Let go of my guns or I will shoot you, one. Two, I have ever right to know. I've never let a vampire live. And if I'm going to be letting you live, I want to know why."

She had caught the sound of him smelling her. Her heart was beating twice as fast. She took a step closer, her body barely a hair's width from his, her eyes searching his. Then she noticed what she was doing. Seducing. Seducing the answer from him. Seducing him all together. Her eyes went glassy for a second as she remember the spark from kissing a vampire. She backed away, losing eye contact and trying to regain her breath.

Now, she was just pissed. Mad because he had made her remember. Mad because she had wanted to remember. No... mad because she had wanted to feel such things again. She screamed, "FUCK!", yanking her guns from his hands. She turned, gritting her teeth. "You're free to go today, but don't let me see you again or this won't end so peacefully." She took off, thankful of the heighten speed for once, not stopping until she was safely in her apartment. She was breathing heavily as she sank to the floor, a tear dropping down her face.

She didn't want to remember... She placed her guns on the bedside table, took off everything but her underclothes, and climbed into bed. She curled up, forcing her mind to clear 'til she finally drifted to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lyle shook his head at her words. She was really something. She clearly had a sense of pride and a deep hatred for vampires. But no hate compared to the burning rage that churned deep inside him. Nothing burned so fierce like the flames of betrayal.
Before he even noticed it, the girl was really close to him. Way too close. He was engulfed by her smell, like he was lying in a field full of flowers. He could sense the blood rushing though her veins heard the pulse of her heartbeat in the artery in the delicate throat. Hunger hit him like a tun of bricks but he skillfully pushed the craving down. After two years of suppressing the hunger to feed on human blood, he wasn't about to rip this girls throat open and gorge himself on her like a dog would. He at least was better then that.
Lyle watched her and the sudden odd way she was acting. Her body was almost up against his and her eyes were questioning, searching. Longing. They were aching for something from him. Something he couldn't give. Not to her. Not to anyone. Not ever again.
The girl suddenly realised what she was doing and broke he contact with his eyes. He almost wished he she didn't. The moment of pain in her eyes seemed to mirror his at that moment. He was taken by this overwhelming urge to comfort her to focus on someone else's pain for once. He almost reached out to touch her cheek but with the dangerous emotions playing across her face at the moment, he decided he wasn't willing to grow back any limbs she might chop off.
Lyle only blinked in surprise as one of the most foul curses left her mouth to delicate to even seem capable of. Suddenly she was gone and he could only stare after her. Didn't she just say that he wasn't going to leave until she got her answers from him? He sighed. Just a big waste of time.
He looked up at the sky as it began to brighten. In a few more minutes the sun was going to break over the horizon and he would have to bear the blinding light of the sun that weakened him, though harmless as it may have been. Time to move..and fast. No problem. He leapt high and landed on the roof. He took off running in a blure as the stars were going out like a room full of bursting light bulbs. He jumped over onto another roof and another. He could feel the light starting to heat up on his skin. He sailed off the roof and grabbed onto the ledge and swung himself into his window just as the sun burst through the earth and lit up the city.
Lyle sat on the floor just under the window ledge after he shut the window quickly and closed the blinds. He stayed right there closing his eyes and drifted him mind to the past..somewhere that reminded him of the scent of flowers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She was warm, snuggled under her down-feather blankets. She knew that she should be hot because it was the middle of the day and her air condition hadn't been turned on, but the person lying next to her felt cool to the touch. A relief against the heat. A vampire. Julian, the vampire, to be exact. She smiled, lifting her head and kissing his neck. He was, of course, sleepy during the day so the most of a reaction that she got was a smile, a kiss on the forehead, and a 'Good morning, dear one.'. She giggled, snuggling back into his loving embrace once more, breathing in his scent like an addict. He would often tease her, saying something like 'Careful, love. You're going to inhale all of my scent.', but it was their own way of having a tender moment. Wrapped in each others arms, brething in the others scent. At night, tender moments were just dreams. At night, he would awaken the passion, send her into depths and heights so intense that she feared she would be lost in them forever. Not that she would have minded as long as he was there with her.

Then the dream changed upruptly. She was in an alleyway, Julian laying in her lap. He was gasping for breath, the stake, sticking out of his heart, soaked in his blood. She had thought of removing it, but he had told her to leave it. She was shaking, crying, dying inside. The person that had driven a stake right through his heart had been a vampire. He had stab him after they disputed about Julian dating Sayurie instead of eating her. She cried deep, soul-racking sobs that felt as if they were squeezing her heart to it's point of bursting. As his last breath was drawn, he stroked her cheek, kissed her lips, and whispered, "I love you, Sayurie. For... ev... er....". And he was dead. She cluched his corpse close, sobbing into his shirt, repeating that she loved him over and over.

Once again, the scene changed. She was standing over two vampires, a gun pointed at each of their heads. She could recognize them as the vampires that had killed her precious Julian. She growled, her anger livid like fire. She teeth were bared as she cocked the guns. "Go to hell." She pulled the trigger, he bang of the gun satisfying her anger. She watched as the bodies stopped moving. Her laugh as manical, unlike herself completely. As if she was being controled by insanity. The feeling drove her further. She bent down, wiping her forefingers in their blood. She lifted to her face, the velvet elixer of life shining brightly as the sun began to rise. She licked the blood off and started laughing as she rose. Her eyes had turned a ruby red, a menacing color to match her anger. Once again, she was propelled into action, following the scent with her temporarily heightened senses. She followed the scent to the vampire hideout, and broke in shooting each and every vampire in their sle-

Sayurie awakened suddenly to a crash. She could feel the prescence of someone in her apartment. She was surprised at the time. It was already midnight. She grabbed her guns quickly, sitting up. She stared into the eyes of three vampires who stared right back with bloodlust evident in every line of their body. She shot at them, but they dodged the bullet. As they moved, so did she. She was suddenly out of bed, not caring about what clothes she was in. She knew that being in only her undergarments would only increase their desire as more than 3/4ths of her flesh was showing.

But she didn't care. She wanted them to come at her. Her dream had awakened a rage in her that was not unlike the one in her dream. She was practically dripping with rage. She grinned, shooting at two of them. Her laugh was loud and insane as she watched them drop. But then the third said something that caught her attention quickly. Five simple words... "So this was Julian's girl."... That awakened a whole new feeling. Rage boiled until it completely shut off all of her thoughts. She was no longer simply angry. She was incredibly insane. Her breath was ragged as she advanced towards him, her eyes glowing red with hatred, a reaction that had been happening ever since she had tasted vampire blood. Sayurie was well know to vampires, but the only time they could tell it was her was when they were able to witness her eyes turning red despite being a human. He smirked, saying "I knew it.", before jumping through the window.

Sayurie rushed to put on another skirt, her white long-sleeved shirt that she had worn the night before, and her shoes. She jumped out the window, sumersalting, and then landing on the ground in the alley. She stood, feeling the vampire's prescence behind her just before his nails dug into her back. She screamed, falling to her knees. The vampire walked around to the front of her. Her insanity raged as she stood. Her hand flew to her thigh, ripping the dagger from it's sheath and ramming it straight into his heart. She slid to the ground with him as he fell, a shocked expression still on his face. Her feelings suddenly shifted to a deep sadness, and she began to cry. As she sobbed, she continually stabbed the vampire's corpse, wishing it could bring Julian back. Wishing Julian would come up behind her and hold her like he used to. Wishing that those vampires had killed her along with Julian.
