| This role-play is loosely based off of a book series called Dark Crescent Sisterhood by Anna Windsor. I give every credit to her for the demons and information about the sybils. I'm using her books just for background; nothing more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a normal world such as ours, no one ever thinks about demons or vampires or werewolves anymore for what they really are. This happens to be the age of angst where everything that goes bump in the night is now a sexy young adult that just hates his immortal existence and wishes for salvation. However, all those things that go bump in the night care for nothing more than your blood. All they want to hear from you is the bone-rattling scream of pain as they rip into you and tear you to pieces for their primitive and single-minded desire of killing.
There are a few things that should be brought to the attention of the public. Vampire, werewolves, demons from the underworld.. Those are nothing new. They have their various stories for how to murder them, but here's the truth. A wooden stake, a metal bullet, and an exorcism are perfectly able to kill them. Let's let the child's play rest where it deserves to stay, in books. The real problems are the things that go bump in the day time.
There is a world hidden among the everyday world. One that no one sees until they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I, Chalese Bordeaux, happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, as was my entire family. My parents, George and Fiona, were 'spies' for the government. I use that term loosely. They were warriors more than anything, in league with the sybils from the Dark Crescent Sisterhood to rid the world of demons.
The Dark Crescent Sisterhood sybils have control of one of the four major elements, and their element decided the Motherhouse that they were brought from: Motherhouse Russia for the earth elementals (mortar), Motherhouse Ireland for the fire elementals (pestle), Motherhouse Greece for the air elementals (broom), and, as of a few years back, Motherhouse Antilla for the water elementals (flow). A few sybils have been reported to have married demons... I keep my opinion to myself on the matter.
However, all the powers in the world couldn't have stopped the demons from killing my family when we went to visit my grandmother in France. As I said, demons care for no one and nothing. They are ruthless creatures, determined to cause pain. They didn't stop at my parents; they murdered everyone, including my innocent grandmother who had no idea what was happening. I remain alive as a testament to the power of four angry sybils that couldn't make it in time. I live with the burden of my families death every day, but that merely fuels my rage, making me a killing machine, feelings be damned.
There are four specific demons that the sybils fight against:
Asmodai- These demons have no free will. They are created from an element and will die after they complete the mission that they were made for. They can be created with a bit of soil, a gust of air, a splash of water, and a spark of a match. They have human appearances from a distance, but when you get up close, you can see how the body appears to morph, one minute one way before switching to another. The element used most forcefully defines what they use to kill with. Just as easy as they are to make, they are similarly easy to kill. Elementally locked metal through the heart of brain will kill them quickly and effectively as well as cutting off their heads, but be warned of one final burst of elemental energy as they die. Cursons- A curson always comes with a twin. They are born, not created. The person that bears two cursons will die from the birth. Every curson has a talisman that they are born with. For the most part, if they have the talisman on them, they can have the demon under control. However, if someone gets a hold of their talisman, they will follow every order given by the holder of that talisman. When the talisman is removed from their bodies, the demon will grow tall, eight feet being the normal. Their bodies are golden, emitting a light from within. Their only real weapon is their other-worldly strength. Elements can't hurt them in Curson form, and they heal almost instantaneously. The only way to kill these demons is the same as the Asmodai, elemental metal through the heart or brain or a beheading. The death of a Curson is explosive. Literally. So be sure to duck and cover when they get shot, and, generally, even earplugs and sunglasses with your eyes closed won't stop you from getting stunned. Astaroths- An astaroth is a human that was ritually sacrificed as a child to be made into a demon. When the child reopens their eyes, they will have mentally and physically aged. Their defining characteristics when they aren't in a somewhat human form are tall, golden eyes, white hair, pale skin, fangs, long claws, and a double set of wings. Like the Cursons, these demons have talismans when they are resurrected, though the talisman usually comes with two pieces. Same as the cursons, if someone has a piece of their talisman, they will obey them. These demons have the ability to go invisible so beware. Beheading or elementally locked metal works with them as well, though they don't have a backlash of power when killed. Rakshasa- The demons are old and ancient. They can pass on their curse much like a werewolf and/or vampire, except they can pass it by simply scratching you, not just biting. In appearance, Rakshasa have one human form, but they can take several for a short amount of time. In original form, they look much like tigers or giant, anamorphic cats. They have an addition form, flame form, in which they can not be hurt. There is only one way to kill a Rakshasa. You must stab them in the heart with elementally locked metal, cut off the head, burn the body and head separately, and scatter the ashes in different directions. If this isn't down, the bodies came reform, and they can come back to life.
There are two more types that have treaties with the sybils:
Unseelie/Fae- These are an ancient demon, but they are not harmful to people because they have a lasting contract with the Motherhouse Ireland to not feed off of people. However, if you come across one, be careful; their power can kill you instantly if you are not invited closer. The only defining marks of the Unseelie are pointed ears and black wings, though, the wings are concealable. Keres- These are demons older than time itself. They reside on Katos Olympos near Motherhouse Greece to whom they have a treaty. The Keres do not leave the mountain to kill, and likewise, if you go to their mountain willingly, you are considered a suicide for you will have given yourself up to them. Their only distinguishing marks are a robe, fangs, black hair that is usually tangled and in disarray, and black wings that are broken and shedding feathers.
It is against these demons that I fight.
A month back, we had received word of a security business that was in with the mafia. That isn't quite all that unusual, but the victims bodies have never been recovered accept for maybe a gnawed on finger left behind. That, my friends, is a sign of the Rakshasa having fed. They eat everything. However, when further investigated, there were sign of the other demons, as well. It had taken us a month, but we finally got a lead, leading us straight to Demonia Security, a new, highly-classified security business. It didn't take long for me to hear of the assignment and request the job. This is what I live for after all. It didn't take long to find out that they were trying to find a new secretary. New as in they had an old one. She went missing a week ago, never to be heard from again. Tomorrow is my first day as the replacement. I'll be going in undercover, hopefully for no longer than a month or two. I might start killing every demon I see if the boss wants me to stay longer...
